How do you embed video (ie you tube) onto wikipedia pages?
I host my own wiki and the embed code (<object><param><embed>) doesn't format on the save. I assume there's a way to change the settings to allow it but can't find out how.

The closest you can come is adding a link to a video.|||Inserting external images, audio files, video files, etc., is not possible on Wikipedia. All images and audio must be uploaded to Wikipedia, where it is subject to deletion (if necessary). Videos, however, are not uploadable nor embeddable.
As was said, the closest you'll come is creating a link to the video. But it'll probably be removed if it's irrelevant or just plain silly.|||software doesn't allow for embedding, youtube isn't considered reliable anyways unless it's for something official and it has no copyright on it.
