Computer shuts down after 10-15 minutes when I am on the Windows Live Messenger web cam. This is the only time this happens. I have the Microsoft VX-6000 webcam as does my daughter.

i agree with him but it may also be a virus, and keep the laptop plugged in. Also go to the control panel and then power options. There you can see and change the settings to auto shut off or stand by or hibernate. Also get a cooling mat.
