My windows live messenger won't sign in, it comes up with the error 80004005. I've deleted

but i get the error code 80004005 when i sign in on live messenger, and i've already deleted the contacts folder in my documents and settings. but it keeps coming back as soon as i delete it. what do i do?? =S
