I have the windows messenger ( live ) installer but when I install it each time.....?

It says did not downlaod messenger . And then it says try again. What do I do? Do I do somthing about the properties of windows messenger ( live)?? I want to download ., why is it not workn. Or can you give me a link to the newest free one that will load right on the site? OR just please help!
