hey, I used to have WLM installed, it worked fine, i also have windows live msgr plus too. Few days ago, i can't log in, so i troubleshooted and all the connections and stuff is displayed fine, but i still couldnt log on. i then deleted WLM off of my computer and tried to install again, but when ever i do so, it just says that i couldnt install it... PLEASE HELP, I REALLY NEED TO TALK TO SOME ONE!!! (dont tell me to try online IM, meebo etc. it sucks i want my msn) THANKS

It's possible, even if you deleted WLM from your system, that windows thinks it is still installed.

The registy entries which were created by the installer might still be in your registry. However I wouldn't recommend editing these yourself unless you know what you're deleting - the registry editor is a very powerful tool and an extremely easy way to break your windows installation.

There are third party MSN applications you can try, such as Trillian, Miranda, and others, but if you really want WLM:

I would recommend using system restore to create a restore point beforehand.

Go to the start menu and click "run"

Type in regedit and click OK

Once this has loaded, use the search menu to find Windows Live Messenger, MSN messenger, or just anything with Messenger in the title.

Delete these entries once you are sure they belonged to WLM or MSN Messenger (of old).
