Employment Question about IE?microsoft vista
He was probably asking if you have worked within an Internal Equity pay structure.
"The internal equity method of structuring pay involves creating a series of grades or bands, with wide ranges at the top of the pay structure and narrower ranges at the bottom. Each grade represents a different level within the company." - Salary.com
Internal Equity (IE)
The practice of paying employees consistent with the organization's pay structure. Also known as internal consistency; compares jobs inside a single organization in terms of their relative contributions to the organization's objectives.
Internal Equity reviews ensure that salaries for positions are internally consistent.
You may want to review the following-
1. A list of positions you consider to be comparable to the position in question and the departments they belong to. Positions may be compared if the majority of the job functions are similar.
2. The title of the direct supervisor for each of the positions on your list. Positions may be compared if they have similar reporting relationships.

Employment Insurance is E.I., but I don't know what I.E. is.
If you're Canadian...you'll pay CPP, EI, Taxes, Health Care and Pensions...maybe it's some other form of health care like Blue Cross...if your spouse has coverage already so should you...? otherwise it will affect your salary?
