Yes, why does Windows Messenger keep periodically disconnecting me?

It's QUITE annoying, when I'm talking to my girlfriend, typing something out and all of the sudden the box goes gray, and I get a bunch of audible sounds signifying my inability to continue typing, whereupon I have to manually reconnect myself. It happens about ten times a night when I'm talking to her. Anyone else experience this? I get it occasionally on Windows Live Messenger, too. How can we fix it?

It does the same thing to me. Its gotten to the point where I can't take it anymore. So, what i did was just remove Windows Messenger/MSN messenger from my computer and use yahoo almost exclusively. Since Yahoo has the ability to talk to MSN users and Vice Versa.
