Just got a new laptop with vista - although getting used to Vista now, I have seen some people with their windows live messenger in their sidebar on the right hand side of their screen? They get the usual list of who is online, etc. How do you get this on the sidebar?

I have searched and only found "third party" programmes. Do any of these work, if so which ones. Or is their an official microsoft gadget I can use?

I've seen and tried third party sidebar gadget as well, but have not heard of an official one. I'd be interested to find out if anyone else has a solution.
