I can't open Windows Live Messenger and I can't reach the

site www.hotmail.com (all other sites opens normally).

When I will connect with Live Messenger, I have the errors 80048820 and 80048439. I'm running XP. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and just about everything else I could find. The main site says that the service is working. And yes, I know anything Windows sucks, but that keen observation does not help me here. Please Help!!!

Good evening everyone and a very happy Red Nose day from the UK.

As many users have realized the main central sever based in America and London has been down for repairs and upgrades. The sever was acting out yesterday around noon, and again has been deactivated to fix a problem. It certainly seems to have effected most Windows Live users as well.

So what makes my answer different from the rest. I quote to you the response that I have received in the last ten minutes from Msn customer services and technical help:

"Thank you you contacting us.

Msn staff are aware of communication and connection problems error with are server based in London. As a result many users will not be able to log in as expected. We are sorry for this inconvenience and hope to have the repairs complete by Saturday the 17th.

I hope this helps you, and again we apologize."
