Why can't I check for windows updates on my computer???
I keep getting this error code 8000FFFF. What is that? when i try to look it up i get nothing. And why doesn't anyone respond on microsoft support. I am so frustrated!! This computer crap seems bogus at times. I was told its not microsoft's problem its the computer manufacturer problem because windows vista was already installed when i bought this cheap emachine desktop.

Don't choke yet. This is why a lot of people are switching back to XP pro|||Its not the computer manufacturers responsibility when there is a software error. Vista has issues that still haven't been quite ironed out.
As far as Internet Explorer not being able to complete Windows Updates, there can be a number of reasons -
In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools button on the top, then select Internet Options. Under the security tab, set all zones to default.
