When yesterday when i updated my system(windows xp)with service package 2 ,it disable audio driver?
When I open the Yamaha icon in the control panel, it's
empty.
When I start my computer each time, I receive the
following message: "Yamaha AC-XG WDM Audio Device will
cause Windows to become unstable. Windows has prevented
these drivers from being loaded"
I have looked on the Microsoft support website. They
acknowledge there is a problem, but offer no solution.
The Sony support site offers no information.
What do I need to do to restore my sound? I'd greatly
appreciate any help.
When yesterday when i updated my system(windows xp)with service package 2 ,it disable audio driver?microsoft supporti guess you must have a cd or floppy which came with the audio device or you must have atleast a cd which has the motherboard information like device drivers, audio drivers, video drivers etc.Install the audio device drivers from that Cd and you will get a warning that those device drivers will make windows unstable..ignore it and go ahead and install it..it should work fine..

Perhaps you need to download Windows XP Service Pack 2 drivers? I am not sure where though.|||I did the same thing - now every so often I have to keep restarting Windows Audio to turn my audio back on. Something is causing it to keep disabling, but I haven't figured out what... yet! I might just switch it back.
If you find out what causes it - let me know too!
