I am asking in regard to a problem my son is having. He wants to subscribe to the Windows OneCare Live beta, but Microsoft says that he can't because he lives in another country that is not the United States. He DOES live in the U.S., so the country Microsoft support has associated with his info. is totally false. (He doesn't even know WHICH country they think he's from, by the way!) He's installed/uninstalled the Windows OneCare Live beta at least 5 times already, and every time it won't let him subscribe. What could be causing this to happen? It's driving him crazy trying to figure it out! Please help if someone might know, so I can pass along something to help him figure out someplace to start looking to fix this prob.

Ask your son to go to control panel and open "Regional and language" Option. At the bottom you'll find location. Ask him to check if he has US selected there.

I don;t know if that might help, but its worth a try.

has he looked at what setting he has in the date/timezone on his clock? is he running xp?|||You might want to change your time zone settings on your clock on the bottom right hand corner of your screen by double-clicking on the time and try a diferrent zone which might solve your problem...
