Purchased a new computer and now can't utilize outlook for e-mail? Can't reach English sup
When I open outlook it will give me some of my incoming mail, however then a screen comes up saying server not recognized. Been in touch with support persons with internet provider who could not help me out. I try to send in outlook and I cannot do that at all. I want to use outlook as my primary e-mail as I had for many years until I got this new computer. Trying to get an English speaking person at Microsoft or HP/Compaq was impossible and I had a very hard time understanding the others that tried to help me. I am computer literate so that was not the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help!windows live messengerRight at this very moment, I'm having trouble getting Yahoo's server to allow Outlook to log into it. I access other mail servers through Outlook and none of them have been having difficulty so I suspect it might be a bug at Yahoo. You might try using Webmail for the time being. Once they get the bugs worked out, you can then download your mail to outlook.
As for sending - are you using Yahoo's outgoing mail server? Try using your ISPs and see if that works. It shouldn't matter who you send your mail out through, and it might tell you if it's Outlook that is acting up or Yahoo.
