Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later?
Various websites that require a web player, or login scripts, show me this message when I attempt to install the requirements:
We're sorry, but only the following browsers are supported on your operating system at this time:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or later
I'm on Vista 32bit, already had a windows update yesterday. I am using Internet Explorer 7. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later?windows mobileIf you don't want to install Firefox (its actually a good idea), you can most likely work your way through these obstacles in IE7 by spoofing the user agent. You can d/l a small program written by a MS MVPS: http://dundats.mvps.org/Internet/Interne...
It tells the page that you are IE6, even though you really are IE7. I used to use it when I had to access sites like that a while ago. It says its for IE7 beta but I used it for the real thing without a hitch.
EDIT: re Firefox 3. Keep in mind that this is a beta. You would probably have better luck with Firefox 2 (www.mozilla.com).
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later?safari browser internet explorer
Internet Explorer 7 changed a lot of the things that it used / did in the past. Older webpages that use older plugins can't detect IE 7 as Internet Explorer. The fault here is the web page, not your computer. If you want to access them, and just because it is a much safer and better browser, install and use Mozilla Firefox. You can get it from Mozilla.com. It is open source, and thus free to download, free to use, and free to update today and forever.
