MS .Net Frameworks 2.0 and 3.0 auto-update problems. Help!?

I have a Windows XP computer and the latest auto update from M.S. is .Net Frameworks 2.0 and .Net Frameworks 3.0 both Service Pack s 1 and they won't install on my computer. The update keeps trying to install it over and over. I sent an email to Microsoft support but haven't heard from them. Is this a widespread problem Microsoft his having or is it just my machine?

well,keep only d latest one,remove the old one and then try to update.i would recommend to remove both then download latest one and install it.here is the link below for 3.5 ver
