I would like to know how to stop the terribly annoying "Install Macromedia Flash" Ad from appearing in IE web pages. Can't find freeware etc. that will stop the ad. I have Widows ME and can't turn off active X control without affecting normal web page viewing.
Is there a free way to specifically block the "Install Macromedia Flash" ads from appearing in IE web pages?microsoft downloads
btw, installing flash player doesnt make any harm for ur PC.
You see this message because you do not have Flash Player on your computer, and you need it to see some content on a website. This message comes from your web browser, which alerts you whenever you try to go to a web site that has Flash content; it does not come from Macromedia.
To avoid seeing this message again, you can either install Flash Player, or you can change your browser settings to tell your browser that you don’t want to view Flash content.
Keep in mind that if you disable Flash content and do not install Flash Player, the next time you go to a website that requires Flash Player, you won't be able to view the website as the designer intended.
It is important to note that most of today’s web browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera come with Flash Player already installed.
