I bought a new laptop and Zune last week (after having one on my wishlist forever). It was such a pain in the rear to get my zune up and running with Vista! After three different calls to Microsoft Support, and a lot of "do this, do that, install this, download that, uninstall, re-install, update" just to get it to work (which it never did), I became frustrated and returned the Zune. I really liked the Zune and am pretty bummed out that I couldn't just install and use it. So, after all of this useless information, my real question arises: Does anyone know if Microsoft has any plans to release a new Zune? One that won't be such a pain in the *** to use with their own OS?

The problem is not zune it's vista is not compatible with anything yet. Zune and many other companies don't have drivers to support vista yet. It's just too early for vista, wait about a year and then try with vista. When zune come out with a driver for vista then go buy a zune, who knows when that will be. I have vista on my new PC but I'm going to get a copy of windows xp to put a double boot on my PC so i can chose between xp and vista that way i can run my old programs and mp3 players.
