Ok. some one PLEASE help me understand how to do this.
I want to move the entire documents and settings folder to another drive.
A microsoft help article regarding this says
"To specify a different folder for the Documents and Settings folder during installation, follow these steps:
1. Run Winnt.exe or Winnt32.exe by using the /unattend option, and then insert the following entry into the Unattend.txt file, where z:\foldername is the path and folder name you want:
[GuiUNattended]
ProfilesDir = z:\foldername
2. Install Windows. The path that you included in the Unattend.txt file is used instead of the default Documents and Settings folder."
I have no clue what this means.

Unattended installations?windows media centerthis has to be done on installation - so you'll need to do a clean install.
And then what you need to do is create a winnt.sif file that gets put on the CD with the OS.
In the winnt.sif file you'll need to put the entry for the profile dir.
I tried this and didn't really have that good of results. Seems like some programs didn't like it

Look for the file "unattend.txt" on your installation CD in the i386 folder. Just fill in the blanks as M$ suggests. Hope this helps...
