and I have Yahoo Messenger 8. His messages reach me when he uses Windows Live Messenger on his PC, however, they don't when he uses WLM on his XBOX. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yup, I'm having the exact same problem too... I thought it was just a matter of the 360 user has to be a hotmail user/native msn messenger user already, but that wouldn't make sense unless he couldn't use the pc windows messenger to communicate with yahoo either. I think it's just another messenger bug in the 360.
