Opera browser and Yahoo messenger?

Goodmorning, I am working with the fantastic Opera browser. There is ony 1 problem. Everytime I try to login directly from the messenger panel in to my Yahoo 360 it does not work. Whwn I try the same with my Firefox browser there is no problem. Is Yahoo messenger not compatible with Opera or is it something else? I checked my firewall settings but all seems all right. Or should I download the whole thing again from the Opera site? Who can help me with some good advice? Thanx, Ed and his rats.
