I have sister in law living with my husband and I and Im keeping a personal journal. She uses my computer sometimes and I dont want her to come across anything of mine and read it (some things which consist of her). Is there anything I can do to put a password on it so if she does come across it and wants to be nosey, she cant?

i don;t knowe about protecting a specifi file, but there are freewqare program called something like "vault" where it creates an encrypted folder on your computer and you need to enter a password to open the folder. or you could get a small USB drive and just save it to there, not on the computer. they can be found for free if you look for them. try newegg.com. most USB drives come with encryption software.
