I plan on purchasing one of the following programs so that I can play DVDs on my computer.

I'm personally leaning towards the CinePlayer DVD Decoder for Windows XP.

(I have Windows XP, for the record)

I was wondering if anyone had any feedback, positive or negative, about any of these programs? Thanks!

The latest version of WMP can play DVD without any decoder, which is what you has in the link. The only type of dvd it can't play is HD or Blu-Ray which also requires a HD dvd-rom player. If you want a stand alone software dvd player try WinDVD or PowerDVD. These 2 players are the best.

.|||Honestly, try to find a DVD Codec online, and just use windows media player. I've never had to pay to play dvds on my computer. Oh, but be sure you have a DVD drive, (I've never seen a computer that didnt come with a player when it had a drive)|||I have the Nvidia decoder and it works pretty well. Haven't had a problem with it yet.|||There is nothing wrong with these programs. They are 100% safe for you and you're computer. If your looking for pro stuff, I'de recommend Windows Media Center for Windows XP or Vista. This program is 100% better than all. Or maybe QuickTime Player. Windows Media Player, and many others!|||Why are you buying a program to play Dvds?
