I have a Toshiba A60, I have tried using the recover disk, but this just takes me to a command screen, and I cannot find the command i need to type in.
I have searched the net for help, but alas, none has been forthcoming.
This page does not help: http://support.microsoft.com/default.asp...
as I cannot even get to the "Welcome to Setup" screen, or maybe I am and don't know it.
I have a limited knowledge of computers and am at a total loss!
Any help?
Please!

My laptop has gone kaput! I keep getting this message when it i turn on: \windows\System32\Drivers\Isap...microsoft works internet explorerBuy a new laptop! Report It |||Try booting up in safe mode F8 repeatedly after switch it on,,,,,,then do a system restore to a point before it went wrong,,,,,,
after seeing your addition,,,,,this has happened to me,,,I ended up reloading WindowsXP from scratch,,,,,,|||well that sounds terminal... youve wiped teh command interpreter... you need to reinstall windows.
have you any idea what you were doing proir to this? most likely you got a virus.. or you deleted the wrong files..look in the recycle bin....|||that happened to me. it could have been because the computer did not shut down properly. Bad thing is I lost all of my information and you might to. You have to install Windows (like Windows XP or 2000) again, just as if it were a new computer, you have to set it up again. sry hope this helps:)|||Turn on computer and at the same time keep pressing f8 until a menu open then go were it says start from the last good boot highlight it and press enter.
