Everytime I try to open a page with Java in it my browser closes down. I have checked all IE options and that don't help. I tried to install Java again from java.com but when I try to install my browser shuts down any suggestions?

Try removing the current installation of java runtime edition on your computer. This can be done through the "add or remove programs" icon within the Control Panel. Then try to go on a website you know uses java and you should be able to install the latest version.

Also make sure all other updates to your browser have been installed. Within IE, click on tools and choose "Windows Update."
