I have had my Dell Laptop for over 1 year and have never been able to use IE. I finally had to download Firefox and this is the browser I have been using. I would like to know why IE does not work. What it does exactly is when i open it up, it just hangs then says not responding and I would have to restart my computer because it would freeze up. Dell of course was no help, they had already received my money for the laptop. Thanks for the help

Ohh IE problem.... is it IE6 or 7? IE7 yeah then you have to reinstall /recover windows. IE6 is easy to reinstall go to: start-settings- control panel- add / remove programs- windows programs. There you see IE6 just remove the V and then confirm. Want it to install again? same way only then put the V back.

That's an unusual fault. If your laptop came with a recovery disk (why so many don't is a mystery to me) then try reinstalling Windows.

But if Firefox works you might as well stick with it because it's at least as good as IE and most Firefox users would say it's better.
