IE location bar bug?

when i type an address in the IE location bar and hit "enter" the page doesn't load unless i hit the "go" button.. anyone experienced this?

Yes, this happens on my computer from time to time...I started noticing it after I installed a SanDisk thumbdrive. It doesn't do it all of the time and I simply have accepted it as an IE quirk. It happens about 1 time in every 10 attempts. All other 9 times it works as expected by simply pressing the <Enter> key.
