Hi everyone!

I have a Cpmpaq presario Laptop with Windoes Vista Home......

I want to use Firexox but wanna get rid of IE. How do i do that?

you can't

just leave IE alone.

It is part of the operating system.

Sure, you can do the remove programs thing in the control panel, but that will not entirely remove IE. Just leave it alone, it doesn't take up that much space.

go to the control panel, click on programs, uninstall programs, then find IE in the list, highlight it and click on uninstall/change, and folllow the prompts from there.

(edit) if the answer above me is right, you could just drag it in the trash, its still on you computer but the icon will be gone from your desktop. I uninstalled msn once with out problems but maybe IE is different.|||www.mozilla.com/firefox

After you install this, run it. It will ask you if you would like to use this as your default browser. Select "Yes".

Next, go to your Control Panel < Add/Remove Programs

And uninstall Internet Explorer. Alternately, you can follow this route:

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer

And can manually delete the folder. Enjoy Mozilla! (IE Sucks)
