I just saw the Phantom of the Opera musical and loved it. I haven't seen the latest movie; Is the movie a musical too? Someone also told me that in the movie Christine and the Phantom have a more sexual relationship than in the movie... true? Basically what is alike and different about the musical and latest movie?

The musical on stage is fantastic. I equally enjoyed the film. I do suggest you see it. There is about the same type of sexual tension, but because it's done in a movie, you get to see it more up close and personal. Gerard Butler, I think he's very handsome as the phantom, and he does a good job at singing, but if you like the men on stage, you may be a little disappointed with the voice - at least that's what a friend said to me. I like both!

the movies is a mucilcal too. there is only like one spoken line.|||the movie has added music, the phantom is annoying to watch sing, and the singing isnt as good. The movie is pretty to watch however, and reasonably accurate to the show. They are both musicals yes.|||I dont know about the Christine and the Phantom, but Phantom of the Opera is sooo good that I am going to buy it!! =)|||I haven't seen the musical but I have seen the movie many times and Christine's relationship with the Phantom is very sexual it seems as compared to her relationship with Raoul where sex doesn't even seem to exist between them.|||It is a musical. They almost never even talk; everything is in song. It's great.
